Building a Weekly Macro Bias — Your Directional Framework.
Part of our masterclass path. We systematically cover risk, logic, and mechanics to build professional edge.
What is covered in this chapter
Developing Your Weekly Playbook
Amateur traders open their charts on Monday morning and look for setups. Professional traders build their weekly directional bias during the weekend, before a single market price updates. A weekly bias framework filters out the noise, ensuring you only trade in the direction of institutional capital flows.
The Macro Bias Checklist
- Central Bank Mapping: Which central banks are hawkish, which are dovish, and where are they in their respective rate cycles?
- Economic Calendar Audit: Which high-impact (Tier-1) data releases are scheduled for the coming week, and when?
- Risk Sentiment Check: Is the market operating in a Risk-On or Risk-Off environment? What is the Dollar Index (DXY) signaling?
By combining these variables, you write down a strict ruleset for the week: e.g., 'Only buy GBP/USD on technical pullbacks. Do not take sell setups, regardless of chart appearance.'
